ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Revo Secure is a Swiss startup focused on facial recognition technology. This project talks about the development of a new app called Revo Wallet. A friendly, easy but also a secure platform that enables users to pay for groceries and goods using their faces. The design interface integrates both customers' and facilities' needs.
When I got involved in this project I 've discovered how technology can contribute to building an amazing future and improve people's lives.
OVERVIEW
CLIENT
REVO SECURE, a security company based on facial recognition technology.
MY ROLE
UX Design - User research, prototyping, testing, and UI. From concept to delivery.
CHALLENGE
Create an intuitive app that allows people and companies to simplify shopping by using facial recognition technology in their daily lives. Increase shopping experience and facilitate customers' lives.
to simplify, when you want to buy something, and you realize that you forgot your wallet (or card and money) at home.

TOOLS
InVision, Sketch, Photoshop, Pen and Paper.
DESIGN PROCESS
UNDERSTAND > DEFINE > DEVELOPED > DESIGN & DELIVER
UNDERSTAND
RESEARCH METHODS:
SURVEY (SurveyMonkey). INTERVIEWS (face to face with users), MARKET RESEARCH, COMPETITOR ANALYSIS
The goals of with those researches:
+ Define users’ motivations, needs, and frustrations for example, when they want to shop, but they realize that they forgot their wallets;
+ Understand digital payment solutions that already exist. Their features, challenges, problems, and benefits;
+ Understand what makes a customer experience satisfying in terms of efficiency and swiftness;
+ investigating what makes the customers not be able to buy what they want.
PROBLEMS WE FOUND:
+ Secure and Trustability: users and companies don't exactly understand how the system works and how safe it is, so they feel uncomfortable using it.
+ Changing system: commercial establishments are reluctant to add a new payment system different from what they already use.
+ Comparing other digital payments I discovered that one of the most common pain points to users is remembering to recharge money frequently. Sometimes they forget and when they need they are not able to use it.
+ In terms of tasks, we create three “different platforms” inside the REVO WALLET: customers, company admin, and staff team.
INSPIRATION
I discovered rich and inspiring possibilities. In general, people want less bureaucracy and more freedom in terms of consumer behavior.
They want to choose a spondee. They want faster customer experience.

DEFINE
How might we
Provide more freedom for people to buy what they want anytime and anywhere with no money or credit card?
PLAN FOLLOWING THE RESEARCH:
CUSTOMERS
Create a new digital payment app for consumers to help them buy anything they want with no card and money by facial recognition so that we contribute to simplifying people's shopping experience.
COMPANIES (SHOPS)
Create a new digital payment app for companies that allow them to provide to their customers more convenience and efficiency by facial recognition so that we contribute to a simplified consumer shopping experience.
IDEATE
POINTS TO BE CONSIDER
SOLUTION 1
Create an intuitive interface that helps users complete their tasks easily. Also translate in design security and confidence, not leaving out the main goals of our users' goal. (young people)
SOLUTION 2
We tried as much as possible to simplify the company system and with some customers, we offered to connect REVO WALLET with their system.
SOLUTION 3
Create an alert to inform users that they are with a low value in their accounts.

DEVELOPED
Part 1: Storyboard
INSPIRATION
One of the most exciting things about building a new product is being able to experiment and take risks without too much to loose
Part 2: TASKS SCENARIOS: (After I conducted users tests in some of the tasks below)
To better understand the customers and user needs I developed a taskboard. This enabled me to fulfill the main requirements and predict possible problems.
+ CUSTOMERS:
+ Create a personal account;
+ Pay groceries or shopping;
+ Charge app with money;
+ Transfer money to others;
+ Collect money from the platform;
+ Control their expenditures;
+ Contact customer service;
+ Sign up as a person.

+ STAFF TEAMS:
+ Use REVO WALLET with customers to tippy the value, frame customer and confirm)
PART 3: flow map
I created a site map for REVO WALLET that outlined the app’s navigation and information hierarchy.

PART 4: ProtoTyping
Taking in regards to all the tasks that I had already listed, I created the first prototypes by paper and pen.
After I grouped the tasks in blocks to facilitate the development of new demos.

PART 5: BRANDING
I did benchmark research and also I created a mood board on Pinterest with some of the assumptions below:
BASES:
+ Identity Identity (colours, logo);
+ Emphasise security and trustworthiness;
+ A modern, young and fun design;
+ Emphasise the idea of high technology.
DESIGN & DELIVER
HIGH-FIDELITY SCREENS:
I created a video to highlight the App relevance:
Key learnings
+ Developing a digital payment system required a deep knowledge not just in UX issues but also in technical details and rules about payments;
+ This project allowed me to make contact with different users: companies and customers, both with complex tasks and particular needs;
+ Digital payments are an emergent solution and not well known to all customers. To make things happen I not just created the app, but also I built a marketing strategy and approach to increase customer awareness.
IMPACT
+ SECURITY DIGITAL PAYMENTS
+ PAYMENT DEMOCRATIZATION
